Hello new favorite taco place in Toronto

New Mexican street food place on Augusta just south of Nassau.

We had 3 tacos each, 2 cans of pop and a (giant) bowl of Pazole, total was $20 for way too much food.

All three tacos were excellent!

Carnitas (Pork leg), Chipotle Chicken and a beef mixture whose ingredients escape me (i know, I am really good at this!) While you have a wide choice of salsas, beans, rice, and other fillings i let the lovely woman behind the counter assemble them how she saw fit-good move! Everything was spectacular-especially the pork and chicken, good heat on the salsa verde and the rice/beans were perfect.

Oh, and portions were enormous!

I had to get a bowl of Pazole also-i cant resist a good bowl of chicken soup on a rainy day. While the broth could have been a bit more flavorful the chicken was moist and tender and overall well worth the $4.

The photos were shot from my phone so sort of blurry but you get the idea.

Oh Salsa's, i will be returning to you. Thank you for giving me more reasons to avoid returning to Tacos El Trompo.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWW

SMOKED MEAT

In an effort to share my love of excess with those around me I have given my brother a package of Goldin's Smoked Meat for his birthday. Tonight, I will join him as we delve into this massive hunk of brisket goodness.

Live in Toronto and are wondering what the hell Goldins is? Well, you can purchase the sandwiches at the Free Times cafe or buy it direct in package from Goldins. Click here for a post with contact info!

For the packages all you need is a large stock pot, boil in package for 3 hours, slice (against the grain!) and enjoy.

Here is a photo of what is to come...into my belly
